About FAR PHOTONICS
Juan Lloret, PhD, PMP® has more than 15 years of experience in optics and photonics engineering, spanning academia and industry. He received an award-winning PhD degree from Polytechnic University of Valencia (Valencia, Spain) for his research in optical signal processing on different integrated optics technology platforms, and a Master in Executive Innovation from EOI Business School (Madrid, Spain). He was a visiting researcher at imec (Ghent, Belgium) in both 2008 and 2011, exploring solutions based on heterogeneous integrated optics.
Transitioning to the industry in 2012, he joined a medical device start-up developing innovative photonics-based products. He was involved in the R&D and Operations departments, gaining a wide vision of the full value chain from product concept to commercialization, and eventually taking the lead for the company’s IP portfolio and envisioning the mid and long term growth strategies.
He has successfully participated and led several private and EU-funded projects involving global stakeholders. In 2020, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, exploring innovative concepts in the field of green photonics, ultimately culminating in the establishment of FAR PHOTONICS in 2021.
